Sayuri Nakashima is the INFINITI Color Designer who worked on the new QX60, and her story is the Japan chapter of INFINITI's series "The Voices of QX60". We filmed it at Nissan Global Headquarters in Yokohama, working through Prodigious in Tokyo. This automotive brand video production in Japan was shot first, so it set the look for the rest of the series.
The brief
The series tells the stories of the people behind the QX60. The other episodes were filmed in the United States. Ours came first, so the creative look we established became the reference the others followed.
How we produced it
We filmed a seated interview with Sayuri about the inspirations behind her work, then the car's interior and exterior in the showroom, and B-roll of Sayuri on the streets of Yokohama. Using the headquarters for the interview and the car kept the production cost-efficient without compromising the look. The DJI Ronin 4D was our A camera, and its gimbal and Z-axis stabilisation gave the smooth, cinematic movement the brand wanted.
The interview was in Japanese, so Sayuri could speak naturally, and we subtitled it in English for the international audience.
What we delivered
We delivered the edited Japan episode, with English subtitles, for INFINITI's global series.
