Oakwood Azabu, Tokyo — Serviced Apartment Brand Film

The brief

Moriya Design Studio briefed us on the requirements and then trusted us with the creative planning of both the film and the stills. We worked in close consultation with the studio: we suggested casting and styling, shared the storyboard for feedback, and refined the film together.

How we produced it

The main shoot was one day with a model, a make-up artist, a stylist and crew. We filmed the bedroom, the living lounge, the kitchen and dining area, and the restaurant downstairs. Outside, we showed the neighbourhood: cultural experiences, shopping and walking the streets. We also arranged permission to film at a local temple. We cast the model and agreed usage terms with her agency to fit the client's plans.

On a second day, director/DOP Andrew Goldie shot additional B-roll around the building and the local area. That extra coverage gives the edit room to breathe.

What we delivered

We delivered the edited and colour-graded brand film. We also shot stills of key scenes in the same setups for Oakwood's website and social media. Those have their own post: Oakwood Azabu photography.
