Komatsu HM460 — Industrial Film, Oita
For Komatsu's new HM460 articulated dump truck, one film was never going to be enough. We made a hero film and ten feature videos at the company's test site in Oita Prefecture, for branding agency Studio Per. Andrew Goldie directed, DOP Christoph-Julian Gelep shot on the ground, and the drone showed the scale of the site from above. This industrial video production in Japan was made for Komatsu's teams around the world.
How we produced it
On a live test site, safety sets the pace. The crew wore protective gear and kept in radio contact with every team on site. With permission to fly across the whole site, the drone followed the truck through its paces, clear of overhead wires and trees. We flew into Oita with a compact crew, and our national network means we can add local support wherever a job like this needs it.
What we delivered
We delivered one hero film and ten feature videos, each focused on a feature of the truck. We also graded and delivered a library of clips, so Komatsu's international teams can cut their own films in every region.
