Two restaurants at Hyatt Regency Tokyo Bay, Sushi Ema and Teppanyaki Fukitei, needed images for a social media campaign and advertising. This hotel restaurant photography in Japan covered both: portraits of the chefs at work, and a series of food images.
How we shot it
We photographed each chef in their own space, at the sushi counter and at the teppanyaki grill, where the craft is easiest to see. The food got the same attention, so the portraits and the dishes work together as one campaign. Photographer Andrew Goldie worked with a photography assistant and a producer.
What we delivered
Around 15 finished images per restaurant, retouched for social media and advertising.
