New Balance x Misfits brand video
We shot and edited this brand video for New Balance's collaboration with Jaden Smith's Misfits. Shooting on the streets of Tokyo. We shot this skate-fashion-styled video, collaborating with Jaden to realise his vision for the promo. Although Jaden is a highly recognisable celebrity, he didn't want to he didn't want to feature. However, he wanted to drive it more from the creative direction end and feature local Japanese talent to tell the story of his Misfits collaboration with New Balance.
Shooting guerrilla style on the streets of Tokyo meant we were able to bring a raw energy to the visuals and work fast and intuitively, bringing this vision to life. Shooting this style of video in Tokyo is all about understanding the city, knowing the good locations and how to get around and work in the city smoothly without friction and problems.
