Dormeuil has made fine cloth for the world's fashion houses since 1842. When the family firm's chairman, Dominic Dormeuil, came to Japan, we made a brand values film with him about the sustainable principles behind the fifth-generation family company. For this luxury brand film production in Japan, one sincere voice carried the whole story.
The approach
Rather than film the supply chain, we built the film on an honest, thoughtful interview with Dominic Dormeuil, with on-screen text carrying the key facts. A sustainability story is most convincing when you hear it from someone who clearly cares.
We believe a brand has to believe in its own values before it can expect its customers to believe in them. This film gave Dormeuil the chance to say what those values are, in the chairman's own words.
