“Filming in Japan can feel daunting from abroad, but Alphabet Productions made it feel easy and inspiring. Their team was not only highly professional, but also generous and deeply attentive to the needs of our production. Thanks to them, we were able to focus on telling our story instead of worrying about logistics. They were a true partner in bringing our project to life.”

“Alphabet Productions exceeded my expectations in delivering top-tier production quality for the UFC. We faced the challenge of finding a high-level production house in Japan that could seamlessly operate in both English and Japanese while adapting quickly to our needs. It was crucial to have a team that could also accommodate our Japanese-speaking talent, Genki Sudo — a highly respected politician, martial artist, and musician — with the utmost professionalism and cultural sensitivity. Andrew and his coordinator, Angie, went above and beyond, assembling a skilled bilingual crew, securing stunning locations and necessary permits, and collaborating effortlessly with local teams. Their dedication and expertise made the entire process smooth and enjoyable, and the final product was one of our best episodes yet! I highly recommend Alphabet Productions to anyone looking for exceptional production services in Japan and beyond.”

Senior Producer, UFC OriginalsUFC Originals documentary · Tokyo · September 2023
“Where Are They Now?” for UFC Originals: filming Genki Sudo, the former UFC fighter who became a member of Japan’s House of Councillors, musician and calligrapher. Project: We filmed a two-camera interview conducted in Japanese. We filmed across multiple locations that included: Genki Sudo's counsellor's office, and local temple Zenryuji, where Genki Sudo created some giant calligraphy under the guidance of his master calligrapher, Genki coaching at the Chuo University wrestling club, imagery of him in kimono at a traditional Japanese house studio in Koshikawa
For this project, we secured permission and booked all locations and supplied all the bilingual crew: director, DOP, producer, first AC, gaffer, sound
We also filmed projects for the UFC, such as UFC 285 Countdown (Valentina Shevchenko, Chiba and Tokyo, 2023), UFC 319 Embedded (Kai Asakura, Tokyo, 2025) and UFC 328 Countdown (Tatsuro Taira, Okinawa, 2026), producing each shoot locally and delivering the footage to the UFC team.

“We worked with Alphabet Production on two very different projects. One was a bigger shoot, with many extras, locations and challenges (e.g. a car in a studio). Alphabet was very professional, absolutely prepared for the situation, but also flexible for new needs. The shoot went smoothly and we completed it in less time than expected. The second production was an audio production (Podcast), which again went very smoothly. I love how Andrew stays calm in any stressful situation. His team is amazing, being able to work in multiple languages, in parallel while shooting or recording and delivering always on time. We will work together again for sure.”
